In
1980, OWI saw a need to expand their consumer products offerings
and wanted something that would utilize their superior technology
background. They saw a need for a product that would introduce new
technologies to the educational communities. Robotics has answered
that need. RobotiKits Direct Company has emerged to fulfill that
distribution channel.The kits they developed are being used in science
educational centers, the classroom, in science clubs, and to satisfy
the curiosity of young scientists in the home. There are five levels
of kits challenging kit builders from grade school to adult. The
JR SCIENCE EXPERIENCE is
for the first time experimenters with little or no experience. The
BEGINNER EXPERIENCE kits
require just basic assembly using fine motor skills and household
tools; the INTERMEDIATE
EXPERIENCE kits are recommended for ages 10 and up; the
BEGINNER
SOLDERING which provides a simple start on soldering the parts
of the pc board; and the
ADVANCE
EXPERIENCE, which requires a more challenging soldering of their
circuit boards and mechanical assembly. Whichever kits you select,
they all demonstrate the principles of robotics in a most enjoyable
fashion.
RobotiKits Direct Company supports the need for education
in robotic technology for schools as well as a fully structured
teaching curriculum. The curriculum includes modules tailored to
introduce the kits unique electronic and mechanical features.
